Last fall we applied for and were recently approved to receive grant money from the Arkansas Department of Transportation that is used to make improvements to city roads.  At this time the grant funds will allow us to make improvements to three of Oak Groves city roads.  While this project won’t allow us to cover all of our roads at this time it will be a much needed step in the right direction.  Hutchens Construction out of the Cassville MO area will be doing the work with oversight being provided by the Arkansas Department of Transportation. 

We are currently working to secure additional grants and funds to make many other improvements to our town.  I hope we can all continue to work together as a community to make Oak Grove a nicer place to live for all of us.
